Johann Strauss Ensemble The Johann Strauß Ensemble was found by musicians of the Bruckner Orchesters Linz in 1985. Beside the extremely popular concerts in the manner of the world wide know Neujahrskonzert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra! It is request of the ensemble, to perform in the Domayer cast which attends to the works of the family Strauß and the other contemporary composer, leaded in the typical Strauß manner with one leader. (Stehgeiger) The Repertoire of the Ensemble contains works of W.A.Mozart, J. Haydn ( Katharinen Tänze), Beethoven (Mödlinger und 11 Wiener Tänze), F. Schubert (Eccosaisen), J. Lanner, Kemeter, die Gebrüder Schramml, J. Fucik, A. Dvorak, Ph. Fahrbach, as well as the whole accomplishment of the family Strauß. The Johann Strauß Ensemble played in european music centres like Paris, London, Monaco, Madrid, Rome, Brüssel, Berlin, Zurich, Hamburg, Salzburg, Vienna and in Japan, Russian, as well as concerts for example at the festivals Printemps des Arts de Monte Carlo, Klangbogen Wien, Wiener Festwochen, Festival der Begegnung. CD and TV concerts in the BRD, Japan, Slovenian and Austria. Especially engagement of the ensemble for NACHBAR IN NOT, (ex Jugoslavia) CF KINDER and DR CHRISTIAN BARNARD STIFTUNG ! In the Strauß-year 1999 the Ensemble played in cities like London, Tokyo, Vienna, Taipeh, Holland and Belgian and finished with the program DU DONAU, DU ....., with works by Roland Neuwirth, (Friedenswalzer) Werner Steinmetz (Kurz und Bündig, Scherzett) Werner Pirchner (Hochzeitswalzer) und Manfred Kammerhofer (Klangszenenwalzer) known paths to present the audience on the turn to the millennium the new Wienermusik.
